St. Magnus Cathedral

St MagnusSt. Magnus Cathedral dominates the skyline of Kirkwall on the Scottish island of Orkney. It is the northernmost cathedral in Britain and built in 1137 by Earl Rognvald. The cathedral is sometimes called Light in the North. I have visited the cathedral several times and I always get a special feeling in the quiet solemnity of the church room. It can not be expressed through a photograph, but I tried anyway.
